This book came about as we began working with photographer Joshua Weinfeld.  I don’t know exactly how he ended up in our laps.  He would show up for a tour as if I had asked him along.  Begrudgingly we would let him ride in the trailer.  After a few nights he would weasel his way into the back floorboard of the van.  But all along the way he happily snapped his pics.  Not just photos of the band performing, but other moments, some quiet, some loud, some strange.  After a couple of years of this harassment we agreed that he could have a normal seat in the van.  No sooner had he sat down than he pitched the book on us.  Apparently he had been cahooting with our faithful soundman, Darrell Young.  Conspiring to catch the beast in his snares.  What could we say?

The book is the story of our lives over 2007 and 2008.  An era of reconstruction.  Ghosts gave way to fleshen bones.  Embers gave rise to sparks.  We started to be a band again.  Bound together by chains unseen.  Duty turned to pleasure.   And the pleasure is all ours.  We have included a 5 song CD of some live recordings from that time.  A beautiful book of vivid pictures and thoughts from the road.
